No no, mi sono spiegato male: non propongo di usare postgres come
alternativa, ma _qualunque_ altra cosa.

Validissimi, a quanto ho capito se vuoi avere prestazioni decenti devi
mettere su un cluster e usare un engine senza integrita'.. poi, le
foreign key "across all of the engines" saranno nella release 6, e
funzioneranno un paio d'anni piu' tardi.
PostgreSQL non è più (così tanto) lento. MySQL non è più (così tanto)
un bocchino.

Ma fino al 2007 lo era, ci ho avuto a che fare per la prima volta
(riscrittura di un gestionale) e sono rimasto sconcertato dalla
differenza di qualita' con tutto il "resto del mondo".
Non vorrai dirmi che in passato era anche peggio, spero?
