Eeeeh, si, si, cosi si che funzia!
Ricapitolando: in /etc/resolv.conf ho piazzato gli IP del provider, e in /etc/
network/interfaces ho eliminato le righe non commentate fino alla fine

installation

iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.1.0
broadcast 192.168.1.255
gateway 192.168.1.1
Perchè non commentarle e basta? Perchè non riesco a fare il carattere #!
