Ciao ragazzi, monitorando il mio hardware mi accorgo di una cosa:
CPU

product: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
vendor: Intel Corp.
bus info: cpu@0
version: 15.2.7
slot: Socket 478
size: 2400MHz
capacity: 3GHz
clock: 133MHz
capabilities:
 mathematical co-processor,
 FPU exceptions reporting,
 wp,
 virtual mode extensions,
 debugging extensions,
 page size extensions,
 time stamp counter,
 model-specific registers,
4GB+ memory addressing (Physical Address Extension),
 machine check exceptions,
 compare and exchange 8-byte,
on-chip advanced programmable interrupt controller (APIC),
 fast system calls,
 memory type range registers,
 page global enable,
 machine check architecture,
 conditional move instruction,
 page attribute table,
 36-bit page size extensions,
 clflush,
debug trace and EMON store MSRs,
 thermal control (ACPI),
 multimedia extensions (MMX),
 fast floating point save/restore,
 streaming SIMD extensions (SSE),
 streaming SIMD extensions (SSE2),
 self-snoop,
 HyperThreading,
 thermal interrupt and status,
 pending break event,
 cid

configuration:
 id=0

path: /0/4

ma risulta anche:

CPU DISABLED

product: ( )
vendor: Unknown
version: 15.2.7
slot: Socket 478
size: 2400MHz
capacity: 3GHz
clock: 133MHz
capabilities:
 HyperThreading

configuration:
 id=0

path: /0/5

orbene sarà che il processore ha funzionalità HT e io non lo sapevo?
Ho ricompilato il kernel attivando SMP e APIC,ma il risultato non mi pare
cambiato..

il bios non contiene nessuna voce al riguardo che io possa modificare.
/proc/cpuinfo mostra un processore solo..
ma allora chi è questo processore fantasma? Ha HT effettivamente attivabile in
qualche modo? o è il mio bios o la mobo che sono farlocche ( può essere)?
Grazie a chi potrà spiegarmi cosa manco
ciao
