Ciao a tutti, La mia distribuzione è una RedHat 9, ho comprato da poco una
videocamera dv della panasonic:
Panasonic NV-GS50
Non riesco a farla funzionare, l'ho collegata tramite firewire e ho provato ad
usare dvgrab per catturare l'output:
# dvgrab --frames 500 testvideo.avi
raw1394 - couldn't get handle: No such device
This error usually means that the ieee1394 driver is not loaded or that
/dev/raw1394 does not exist.
come si vede dvgrab mi dice che i driver ieee1394 non è caricato oppure che il
dispositivo /dev/raw1394 non esiste.
A me sembra che ci siano tutti e due:
$ /sbin/lsmod | grep ieee1394
ieee1394 48268 0 [ohci1394]
$ cd /dev
$ ls | grep raw1394
raw1394
Ho anche provato ad usare kino, un programma che ha anche una GUI, e quando
vado nelle impostazioni tramite l'apposito menù, compare un popup che dice:

* The IEEE 1394 subsystem is not loaded; *
* all IEEE 1394 options are disabled. *
* *
******************************************
Suppungo che questi messaggi abbiano lo stesso significato di quelli di dvgrab,
ma non capisco, a me sembra che il modulo sia caricato, vi posto puer questo:
$ dmesg | grep 1394
